The DOT Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Training Course is a federally mandated program that educates supervisors on how to identify and appropriately respond to signs of drug and alcohol use in the workplace. This course meets or exceeds the requirements outlined by the U.S. Department of Transportation and is fully compliant with all federal regulations.
 

It satisfies the training mandates across all 50 states and is accepted by the following federal agencies:
 

  • FMCSA – Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

  • FAA – Federal Aviation Administration

  • FTA – Federal Transit Administration

  • FRA – Federal Railroad Administration

  • USCG – United States Coast Guard

  • PHMSA – Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration

  • And other jurisdictions following DOT standards
     

Supervisors are required to receive a minimum of 2 hours of training—1 hour focused on recognizing signs of alcohol misuse, and 1 hour on drug use symptoms—in order to make informed and compliant reasonable suspicion referrals.
